IHK Education Centre Halle-Dessau GmbH
The IHK Education Centre Halle-Dessau GmbH was established in 1991 as a subsidiary of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) Halle-Dessau.
With our headquarters in Dessau, we are represented throughout the south of Saxony-Anhalt (one of the five East German “Lander” or districts) with 8 regional offices and campuses. We have 52 employees and co-operate with a large number of freelance lecturers and trainers with relevant business backgrounds. Every year, we offer some 350 different courses and have an average of about 6,000 participants.

Our main objective
Our main objective is to offer training of practical relevance to regional businesses and public administrations. We have long-standing partnerships within the economic sector, and since 1991, some 97,000 participants have taken advantage of our experience to extend their knowledge and advance their careers.

Target Groups
One of our main target groups are business start-ups. We help them setting up their business but also offer guidance and counselling until they have established themselves successfully. Since 1992, nearly 6,300 people have benefited from this specific service.
Another major target group are managers and employees of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). For these, we provide both long-term standard courses and brief practical training modules tailored to their individual requirements.
